Perth’s biggest and best drug, smoke and alcohol free all-ages festival, HyperFest is set to deliver a huge line-up over three stages in 2014.

Headliners Spit Syndicate have a reputation for delivering a high energy live show and are well known for their popular singles Amazing, Folly, Beauty in the Bricks and Starry Eyed.

Young Aussie hip hop star Allday will captivate the crowd with such crowd pleasers as Claude Monet and Girl in the Sun, while Brisbane indie kids Cub Sport (formerly Cub Scouts) will bring the dance rock vibes, fresh off Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festivals.

WA acts already announced include 2013 WAM Song of the Year winner Mathas and triple j favourites The Love Junkies, Statues, Timothy Nelson and the Infidels, The Decline, FOAM, Scalphunter, Apache and Lionizer.

City of Swan Mayor, Charlie Zannino, said HyperFest provided many opportunities for youth development.

The Hyper Team of volunteers, under the direction of City staff, should be commended for the great job they do in bringing this event to fruition and it is pleasing to see they have had great success in securing these acts,” he said.

Midland/Guildford Ward Councillor, Mark Elliott, said local bands would also be given an opportunity to shine at HyperFest.

This year more than 115 local bands applied to secure a spot on the HyperFest line-up, and a second round of local acts will be announced closer to the event,” he said.

We’re thrilled with the depth of talent available in the region and proud to be able to offer the performance exposure of HyperFest to these aspiring bands.”

HyperFest will take over Midland Oval on Sunday, April 6 from 11am to 8pm.

City of Swan’s HyperFest, presented by Drug Aware, is an All-Ages (12+) drug, smoke and alcohol free event that would not be possible without the support of so many organisations, including Drug Aware, Healthway, Ellenbrook, The Music, Midland Gate, Music Feedback, YACWA and the Department of Local Government and Communities.
