Hyper has a large variety of possibilities for young people to get involved, these include:

  2. Hyper Team (organising the events!) - Applications OPEN

Hyper Team

The Hyper Team are a group of young volunteers who organise HyperFest and Hyper Vision, undertaking a massive amount of work to ensure the Hyper brand and its activites continue to make a difference in the community, whilst growing from strength to strength each year.

The perks:

  • Free entry to the gigs & exhibition
  • Networking with industry pro’s
  • Training in events, inclusion and more
  • Working side by side with major event managers from WA
  • Opportunities to work or volunteer with other major Festival in Perth such as On The Bright Side
  • Career and skills development
  • In fact… many of the Hyper Team members have gone on to either run their own events, arts companies or work in the music industry because of the skills gained through Hyper

What you need to do:

Rock up to the fortnightly meetings (these are every second Sunday and more frequent approaching the Festival)

  • Help out with the Festival and Exhibition
  • Join a ‘working group’
  • Help your fellow volunteers get stuff done!

Hyper Volunteers

We aren't currently taking any volunteers for HyperFest 2012, stay tuned... opportunities will come up in March 2012.

Each year Hyper Fest looks to recruit volunteers within the age range that the festival is aimed at (between 13-25 years), as it gives teens the chance to work in an area that is usually more suited to people 20+, and that's all happening again this year.

These guys do anything from:

  • Parking support
  • Waste management
  • Site set up
  • Media Team (taking photo's)
  • And more!

All you really need to do is do a shift and for that you get a shirt, food voucher & free pass to the event… don’t take it lightly though, we only take vollies who want to get the job done so make sure you will be able to help then you get the awesome perks!

Lastly, every volunteer is required to fill out the city of Swan registration form also, for insurance and legal purposes. Without this, we cannot let you volunteer on the day.
