About Us

‘Hyper’ is a youth arts series based within and provided by the City of Swan, best known through its nationally awarded and acknowledged all-ages music festival ‘HyperFest’.

Hyper is much more than just HyperFest (see the history of the event and previous lineups), through this website you will be introduced to all of our different projects including Hyper Vision - our large scale art exhibition, as well as the many youth workshops and programs run throughout the City of Swan leading  up to HyperFest and Hyper Vision. 

Hyper is run by young people for young people, and you can get involved in anything from performing in the event to organising and running it!

The program has recently won a variety of awards including:

• 2009 National Award for Local Government for Community Capacity Building - Youth Engagement Award
• 2009 Australia Council Young and Emerging Artist Award - Young Emerging Artist Award
